While that may be true, there really is no way to know at this point. There are only a few other coaches out there, at least at the DC level, who have a proven success record with implementing and running 3-4 zone blitz concepts. I can think of Dom Capers and maybe Mike Nolan off the top of my head. How can anyone know if Butlers is any better or worse than those coaches? Barring a massive scheme and personnel change when Lebeau exits, the Steelers would need to hire someone who could immediately step in and continue running the same style of defensive system. Wouldn't a candidate that learned hands on from one of the founders of said system be an ideal candidate?
